Big Brother: Best Shows Ever brings in high ratings for E4

The special anniversary series of Big Brother has already performed above most other E4 shows.

The first edition of Big Brother: Best Shows Ever featured the infamous row between Craig and Nasty Nick, where it was revealed Nick was trying to manipulate nominations. The special show was hosted by Davina McCall and Rylan-Clark Neal.

Big Brother was watched by 660,000 (3.7%) viewers in the 9pm slot, despite the episode being 20 years old. It was the highest non-terrestrial programme on Sunday.

The figure is also comfortably above E4’s slot average for 9pm, which is usually around 268,000k (1.4%). 9.7% of 16-34 year olds tuned in to watch the first edition, making E4 the second most popular for the age group.

This also makes Big Brother: Best Shows Ever E4’s highest non-scripted show of the year so far. The series features the best ever shows from the first 10 years of Big Brother’s history, but some parts have been edited out as they didn’t “feel right for 2020”.

Big Brother: Best Shows Ever continues tonight at 9pm on E4.
