Celebrity Big Brother drew in over 3 million on average a night, making this series the most watched on Channel 5 yet
It has been confirmed already that this series was the highest watched series of Big Brother on Channel 5 to date, beating previous leaders Celebrity Big Brother 8 and 11. The unofficial rating was 2.49 Million.
Today saw the final official ratings released, and the series averaged at 3.04 Million – the ratings include Channel 5’s catch up service, Channel 5+1 and repeats/recordings.
Meanwhile, the final of Celebrity Big Brother which saw Jim Davidson crowned winner, averaged at 3.71 Million viewers during the two hour slot. The rating beat the launch night figure of 3.69 Million. This makes it the first series of Big Brother UK whose final was more watched than its launch since Big Brother 7, which aired in 2006.
Celebrity Big Brother returns later this year, after the fifteenth civilian series.
