Day -13: Big Brother to launch on Monday 5th June 2017

Channel 5 have confirmed that Big Brother’s eighteenth series will kick off on Monday 5th June at 8:30pm. The series will start with a two hour live launch show, hosted by Emma Willis, where the brand new Housemates will enter the newly renovated House for the first time.

Following the launch, Rylan Clark-Neal will take over for a special show, Big Brother: Full House with Rylan at 10:35pm for an hour before being followed by an hour long edition of Live from the House at 11:30pm.

The news comes following rumours that Big Brother would be going head to head with the final of Britain’s Got Talent on Sunday 4th June.

The regular scheduling for Big Brother then comes into play, with the first highlights airing on Tuesday 6th, Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th at 10pm followed by Bit on the Side at 11:05pm.

Friday 9th will see the first live eviction of the series take place, airing in a live 90 minute slot between 9pm and 10:30pm. Big Brother’s Bit on the Side follows for an hour, before 25 minutes of live feed.

The series will also be launching during the election week – meaning the Housemates will not find out who the new Prime Minister will be, unless informed by Big Brother.
