Channel 5 have today announced that they will begin broadcasting a new channel
Fans of Celebrity Big Brother and Big Brother will have the chance to catch up on the show they missed soon, with new channel – Channel 5+24. The channel is set to begin transmission from Tuesday 4th February on Freeview (number 55), Freesat (132), Sky (175) and Virgin Media (152).
The channel will be on air between 7pm and 1am every night and will show the same programs as the main Channel 5 – just 24 hours later. Teleshopping commercials and repeats of other recent shows will fill the remaining hours – while it will ‘close down’ on Freeview between midnight and 10am.
The move comes after the network obtained an OFCOM license for a new channel named ’5Later’, which was expected to be their equivalent to Channel 4′s 4Seven.
