Day 16: Channel 5 planning Celebrity “All-Stars” series for 2017

Channel 5 are reportedly planning an all-star edition of Celebrity Big Brother for next summer’s series.

The Sun have reported that the broadcaster is already beginning talks with ex-Celebrity Housemates to get them back in the House for the milestone 20th series.

The special edition of the series is being planned for next summer, where the 20th series of Celebrity Big Brother will air following the 19th in January.

A source told The Sun:“Bosses have drawn up a list of their dream housemates and are currently approaching them with big money deals to sign them up for next year.

“Bringing back the celebs they know will cause the drama would result in the most explosive series so far. There’ll be no dull moments as they know who’ll be worth their fee. It’ll be the perfect celebration of how far the show has come.”

If the series goes to plan, it will be the second all-stars edition that the UK has had. In 2010, Channel 4 invited a group of the best Housemates from both civilian and celebrity editions of the show to compete against each other in a bid to win the title of “Ultimate Housemate”.

Channel 5 declined to comment on the rumours. Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm.
