Day 2: Tila Tequila removed from the Celebrity Big Brother House

Tila has been removed from the Celebrity Big Brother House.

Just two days into the new series, American celebrity, Tila Tequila, has been ejected from the Celebrity Big Brother House.

Channel 5 released the following statement: A Channel 5 spokesman said: “Unfortunately, Channel 5 and Endemol did not know about the views and attitudes Tila had expressed in social media postings prior to her involvement in Celebrity Big Brother.

When they were brought to our attention, she was called to the Diary Room for a discussion with producers and was subsequently removed from the house. The views Tila had expressed, and permitted to remain uncorrected, are totally unacceptable and, accordingly, her continued involvement in the programme was untenable.”

The star came under fire after the launch of Celebrity Big Brother last night, after it emerged that she had made “Pro-Nazi” comments and was supporting Adolf Hitler. The alleged remarks were reportedly made in 2012 and saw Tila reportedly describe Hitler as a “good man” and claimed that he “stood up for his country”

The Campaign Against Antisemitism have complained to Channel 5 with Jonathan Sacerdoti, director of communications, quoted as saying: “The British public has little time for attention-seeking Nazi sympathisers like Tila Tequila. Channel 5 and Endemol Shine UK ought to be ashamed of themselves for promoting such a deeply offensive person on prime time television.”

Celebrity Big Brother continues tomorrow night at 10:30pm.
