Day -25: Simon Cowell to “poach” Big Brother hosts Emma and Rylan

The Daily Star are reporting that Emma Willis and Rylan Clark-Neal are set to be poached from Big Brother to host The X Factor.

While the story may be completely false, the tabloid has reported that Simon Cowell thinks Emma and Rylan would be the ideal duo to replace current hosts Caroline Flack and Olly Murs.

A source said: “It would cause fireworks poaching Emma and Rylan off Big Brother but Simon usually gets what he wants. He nicked Alesha Dixon off Strictly to be a judge on Britain’s Got Talent and Rita Ora from The Voice for The X Factor.”

Caroline and Olly were given the role of presenting The X Factor following the departure of former Big Brother’s Little Brother host, Dermot O’Leary who left the singing competition after presenting it for eight series.

Meanwhile, Emma Willis started presenting on Big Brother in 2010 as a co-host of Big Brother’s Little Brother before moving onto hosting Big Brother’s Bit on the Side in 2011. Emma was later promoted to the host of the main show in 2013.

Rylan Clark-Neal appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, after finishing fifth on The X Factor in 2012. Rylan went on to win Celebrity Big Brother and later became a host of Big Brother’s Bit on the Side.

Celebrity Big Brother returns on Tuesday 5th January on Channel 5 and TV3.
