Day 27: Emma Willis to leave as host of Big Brother’s Bit on the Side

Emma Willis is set to leave her role as host of Big Brother’s Bit on the Side

Tonight’s edition of Big Brother’s Bit on the Side will see host Emma Willis leave her role as presenter of the spin-off show, with Rylan Clark taking over with immediate effect.

Rylan is currently listed as the soul presenter of Bit on the Side from Tuesday onward for the remaining four episodes and it is understood that Rylan will be the sole presenter when the show returns alongside Big Brother 16 in the summer.

However, Emma will still be hosting the main show of Big Brother – and is expected to make weekly appearances on Bit on the Side following the live eviction shows. There is no main reason for Emma’s departure from the spin-off, but is likely due to her growing work load.

Emma Willis started as a presenter of Big Brother’s Little Brother back in 2010 for the final series of Big Brother on Channel 4 before following the show over to Channel 5 in 2011 and becoming the main presenter of Big Brother’s Bit on the Side. In 2013 it was announced that she would be taking over as the main host of Big Brother starting with the fourteenth edition of Big Brother, and staying on to present Big Brother’s Bit on the Side.
