Day 10: CBB holds onto second spot for highlights show

CBB’s highlights held onto second place last night as the ratings soared up again.

Celebrity Big Brother continues to storm the competition, holding second spot last night, with Thursday’s highlights show holding a strong 2.38m viewers at 9PM. (10.4%) with a further 254K added at 10pm (1.5%) resulting in an impressive 2.63m viewers. (11.9%) Which is more than 280K up on the previous winter edition’s first Thursday show.

Elsewhere BBC One’s hit Death In Paradise won the 9PM slot with 6.72m viewers (29.4%) down 200K from the previous run. Meanwhile ITV faired poorly in comparison with 1.76m viewers (7.7%) tuning in to view Bring Back Borstal. BBC Two’s offering of Super Rich & Us entertained 1.61m viewers (7.1%) and lastly Channel 4’s one-off drama Cyberbully fascinated just 1.09m viewers. (5.0%)

Channel 5 once again rated well compared with it’s usual programming block before Celebrity Big Brother, which before the show aired, held a mere 3.94%, compared with rival Channel 4’s 5.25% of the viewing market.
